Equestrian trends are very interesting. The sport is known for its timelessness and elegance, and rarely ventures outside it’s comfort zone. Yet, we see many interesting micro-trends within different disciplines, from dressage to western pleasure and everywhere in-between. Unlike human fashion, equestrian trends evolve slowly and don’t change every season as it takes time to gain acceptance in the show ring.

Carbon Fiber – Lightweight and exceptionally strong carbon fiber is a natural fit for equestrians. It can be found in saddles (often placed prominently) or even on stirrups and boots.
Wide Stirrup Leathers- Wider stirrup leathers hit the scene and seem to be a huge hit.
Blingy Browbands – Dressage took the lead in the beautiful browband (think rhinestones and pearls) department, though hunter/jumper isn’t far behind with more subdued clincher styles. Looking for blingy brow bands? Click here!
Titanium– Also lightweight and strong, titanium is found in bits, stirrups, and even horse shoes!
Brown Dressage Tack– No longer do dressage riders need to pick between black tack and…black tack. Most custom saddle makers will gladly build you a saddle in a range of brown toned leather.
Red Breeches– Not seen in the show ring, but very popular for casual riding.
Brown Tall Boots– A fashionable and beautiful divergence from the normal black boot.
